About Common Thread Fabric & Supply Co
Common Thread Fabric & Supply Co. is an independent retail fabric and notions shop located at 228 West Foothill Blvd in Claremont, California. We are the only independent fabric retailer in the Claremont area, offering a carefully curated selection of premium fabrics, sewing notions, patterns, embroidery and needlepoint kits, and sewing gifts — all hand-selected for the modern maker.
We believe that making things by hand builds confidence, fosters creativity, and connects people to one another in a meaningful way. Our shop exists to inspire and equip makers of all skill levels — from beginners picking up a needle for the first time to seasoned sewists building their stash — with the materials, tools, and expertise they need to bring their ideas to life.
